I stood here chopping pickles for egg salad sandwiches, I overheard a conversation between my two oldest daughters. Owl, 2 years old said ,”Sissy Boo Boo can I dream I’m a horsey?”
There was a giggle from Boo,whose five, and then I heard her say, “Owl you Never have to ask permission to dream. No one can tell you not to dream, if you want to dream you are a horsey then do it. But never ask permission!”
Such wise words from my Boo. All too often I think we tell ourselves not to dream. We make excuses in our head why we shouldn’t dream about the things we want to do or be. We put limitations on ourselves this way.
I’m thankful for my Capn Boo, and her reminder to me and the world, “You never have to ask permission to dream.”
