I like to do it standing up, or I never get there. You know, to the end of a blog post. What did you think I was talking about?
Ok now that we are all on the same page I’m going to dive into this post…. From a standing position of course. Why do I blog standing up? Well, mostly because I have three
monsters.… terrorists.… lovely girls that make it almost impossible to sit down. If I sit down its “Mama read to me….hug me….look at the boogers in my nose…..hold me….can I touch your eyeball…..what are these wrinkles from….wow you have bad breath…..are you really full of Poop, dad says so cause you have brown eyes….will you tickle me????” All while they climb on me, touch me, and demand my attention in anyway they can creatively drive me insane.
I usually blog standing in my kitchen, leaning over the counter while I furiously type. Oh and did I mention I don’t have a laptop, an iPad, or a desktop? I blog from my trusty phone. Which comes with its own trials. That’s fodder for another post. If I’m not standing up blogging in my kitchen I sneak out to the horse barn late at night when the husband and
minions mess makers children are sleeping.
I often find myself starting a post and having a very specific idea about where I want it to go, what I want it to say, and then I get interrupted five thousand times and it ends up turning out so completely different.
My point in all this? If you want to blog it’s ALWAYS possible! You can make all the excuses in the world to keep yourself from doing it. My most popular ones:
1. I don’t have time.
2. I don’t have a computer.
3. No one wants to hear what I have to say.
4. I don’t have anything worthwhile to say.
Well, if you are telling yourself any of the above, its total crap.
For goodness sake if I can blog on a cell phone standing up while my crazy insane life swirls around me like the tornado it is……SO CAN YOU!
I mean really, I just did it! Standing up….from a cell phone….and I do have things to say! And really you just took the time to read this, so it must have been worthwhile.
From the HK Bar to the world, if you want to do something, do it. Stop the excuses and get a move on!
