A Book Review; Refining Fire By Tracie Peterson

This book is set in Seattle in the year of 1889. The main character is Militine Scott, a young woman whom is hiding from a tragic past at the Madison Bridal School. Her story is one of a struggle to find God and her true place in the world.

This book did have alot of spiritual dialogue, which did get a bit monotonous for me. But I did enjoy the characters despite a storyline that was sometimes dry, and  at other times too busy. I didn’t find a natural flow to the book. It was a fairly easy book to read. At 312 pages I read it in a couple of hours.

I would recommend this book only to people who enjoy spiritual based story lines. It did have some decent true historical  content that I found interesting. Overall, I would not read it again. But I believe it was a solid enough book that it would catch an audience given they enjoyed this genre.

Until my next review!
