Flash; Flinthillspaintedlady Training Day (s) #23-24

I haven’t been feeling 100% the past two days, so Flash and I had short sessions yesterday and today. Just the basics, feeding, grooming and love scratches. She has been in the little corral and barn due to Easter the miniature mare matriarch being too aggressive towards Flash.

Yesterday Easter kicked Flash and skinned her up on one leg pretty good. Not anything that will scar, but I’m not taking any chances. So later today I will pen Easter and turn Flash out to stretch her legs. Louise continues to be close to her, and has seemed to adopt her. They are a cute pair. This morning I caught them stealing hay.

Louise would grab a flake and drag it into the Stall for her and Flash to snack on. Thier antics did alot to cheer me up and take my mind off not feeling well. Just one of many thousands of reasons I love horses.

Until next time.

  1. It’s funny how size has nothing to do with who is top dog. I’ve seen a miniature stallion run seven mustangs around like sheep. He was pretty proud of himself too.
