Flash was standing outside waiting for me today. I fed her grain and hay, chopped ice in the water tank, and then spent about five minutes giving her scratches all over. She is such a sweet girl.
Good news also, her cut is healed well enough that she is allowed back out in the pasture today! I opened her gate while she was in at her feed bunk, so I didn’t get to see her realize she was “free” to go back with her miniature horse herd. Although I didn’t get to see it, I can imagine her enthusiasm as she bursts through the gate and canters across the frozen pasture, leaps over the little ravine and stirs up the herd intentionally. Just to let everyone know she is back, and happy to be so.
Until next time.
