Flash; Flinthillspaintedlady Days 64-66

Got back to work with Flash today. The winter has given a lovely warm(ish) day here on the HK Bar. About 55°F!

Flash got a full groom and feet picked. We practiced standing tied and also did lead training. She was very willing and quiet.

She also had one of her firsts today , her first gala apple! She was so funny. At first she just sniffed it until I rubbed it in her lips a bit, then she so gingerly took small bites out of it.

  1. I love these posts… I have an associates in Equine Science that I do absolutely nothing with. I was working with horses up until this past August when I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease. I am pretty much just getting my doses for survival but I am not what I was. I will be again, right now I am just taking it easy as far as that goes. My spleen is a little enlarged so I have to be careful. It’s hard to work 2 year olds when your doctor yells at you. Lol. Shhhhhh….

    • I am so glad you enjoy them! I know how hard it is to be limited by disease and be away from your passions due to illness! (I have Hashimotos Disease). I finally am getting it under control! Prayers to you for recovery, and in the mean time soak up some horse literature and horse blogs! I hope you continue to enjoy Flash and is updates! I am excited to read more of your blog as well! 🙂
